Oil painting on canvas, Prince William Henry, Duke of Gloucester, KG (1679-1700) after Sir Godfrey Kneller (Lübeck 1646 - London 1723), circa 1700. An oval framed and painted half-length portrait of the Duke of Gloucester, as a young man, to right facing, in classical armour with ermine-lined cloak over his right shoulder, with jewel of the Great George, the orginal of which is inthe Royal Collection. He wears the sash of the Royal Garter which he received in 1696. Erddig, Wrexham (Accredited Museum)
