A three-quarter-length portrait of a girl wearing a dark yellow dress, standing in front of a brown curtain. The sitter has blue eyes and brown curls and looks out at the spectator. The white chemise sleeves of her dress fall to the elbow and there is a white frill around the square neckline. The yellow sleeves are pleated and studded in two places on her right shoulder where a brown shawl falls across from back to front. She wears pearl drop earrings and holds a pink rose in her right hand which has been plucked from a rose bush to her left. A La Ronde, Devon (Accredited Museum)
