Picture representing a large town on the banks of the sea, on which are some large vessels with Dutch flags. Several details of the buildings are taken from a view of Paris, such as the Tour de Nesle (twice), the palace of the Louve, the isle of Sein with the Pont Neuf, the Notre Dame and the Tour St. Jacques. A replica of this painting is considered by DR C Hofstede de Groot to be an authentic and characteristic work by Jan Abraham Beerstraten.
