Jan Wyck (Haarlem 1645 – Mortlake 1700). Oil painting on canvas, A Landscape with Horsemen (including a Falconer) by Jan Wyck (Haarlem 1645 – Mortlake 1700) signed: J Wyck (twice), circa 1690. The view is of an evening landscape with a pink cloudy sky. In the foreground on the left a groom is seated on a white horse and is leading a riderless dark horse across a brook with a dog running alongside. Behind are bathers and fishermen. On the right a gentleman is watering his horse in the brook and falconers are out behind, on a rise. Next to them are two large trees, one dead and one alive, on which a little boy climbs.
