A three-quarter-length portrait turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, his left hand by his side, his right hand holding his Treasurer's Wand of Office, dressed in Garter robes, the background formed by a red drape to the far right, a stone pillar in the centre and a distant horizon on the left with a stormy sky.
