Constance which arrived at Chatham after 8 years foreign service was” Trixie” R.N. who was taken abroad the vessel as a mascot - a stray starving puppy in Japan two years ago. A whip round among the crew produced more than twice the Pound 26 needed to pay for her six months quarantine in Britain. Trixie's shipmates will visit her in turn for an long as service duties permit...
