May 05, 1954 - New ambassador to Holland: the queen has approved the appointment of Mr.Paul Mason, to be ambassador at the hage in succession to Sir Neville butler, who is soon retiring from the foreign service. Mr. Mason has been an assistant under-secretary at the foreign office since April, 1951. From February 1949, Mr. Mason was minister in sore, and was previous ahead of the refugees department of the foreign office. He is 49. He is being succeeded at the foreign office by Mr.J.G.Ward, now deputy British high commissioner in Germany
