A view of the stepping stones across the River Teign at Chagford, Devon, looking upstream. Four ducks or geese dabble in the water and on the bank in the left foreground. Behind them, a post leads the eye towards the stepping stones which occupy the middleground. The roofline of a large building rises up in the background behind some bushes at the right of the scene.
