Image description: The Bankes Homer, consisting of Iliad 24.127-804 (P. Lond. Lit. 28; TM 60500), with a colophon at the end: Ἰλίαδος Ω. Imperfect, lacking the first 126 lines of Iliad 24 (and possibly also all of Iliad 23). Includes, in the margins, the names of characters to indicate passages of direct speech, as well as abbreviated notes marking narrative sections of text. The breathing marks and accents have in most cases been added by a later hand.
