Simone Pignoni

Italian painter, 1611-1698

While best known for his paintings of voluptuous female nudes, Pignoni also completed many religious works; the altarpiece 'St. Louis Providing a Banquet for the Poor' for the Guicciardini Chapel in S. Felicita, Florence, is perhaps the notable example and was his last public commission.
