Kristen Morgin

American sculptor and ceramicist, born 1968

Morgin received her BA from California State University, Hayward, and her MFA from Alfred University. She is also assistant professor of ceramics at California State University, Long Beach. Her early works are made from a mixture of clay, cement, and glue over armatures of wood and wire; they reference familiar objects but their corroded appearance makes them look as if they have just been excavated.
