The civilian population of Rafz looks at the extent of the destruction after the bombing of the village. After an allied fighter plane of the US Air Force was bombarded by the Swiss Air Defence (Flab), the bomber went on to attack the border town of Rafz in the canton of Zurich on February 22, 1945 and dropped six bombs near the church, causing great devastation.
