Seated Statue of Tuthmosis III

Seated Statue of Tuthmosis III-This statue was originally found broken into three pieces. It presents Tuthmosis III wearing the nemes-headdress, with a uraeus at the forehead, and a large false beard attached to the chin. He is naked except for a short kilt, which is tied with an elaborate belt decorated with the royal cartouche. His left hand rests on his lap, while his right hand holds a piece of folded cloth – a symbol of authority.
