Competition: Enter the Great Outdoors
Published 30/03/2015
We are excited to introduce the second annual Bridgeman Studio Award to uncover new creative talent for the archive
We are delighted to announce the launch of our second annual Bridgeman Studio Award. Join us on the journey to find the best creative talent for licensing as we prepare for launch on April 15th.
Bridgeman Studio continues to make great strides in sourcing and nurturing the best contemporary creatives for image licensing. To celebrate this, we have put together a stellar line-up of prizes, judges and sponsors for our 2015 competition. Our partners will help us choose winning imagery which best reflects talent, market trends, and most importantly, provides us with imagery that matches the needs of Bridgeman's clients.
Introducing our Judges and Sponsors
Creative Review - Weare proud to welcome our media partner back for a second year. The world's leading monthly magazine for advertising, design and visual culture will be active in providing support and outreach to entrants during the competition. A winner's showcase will be in the August issue of the magazine.
Wilderness Festival - Also on the judging panel is the multi-award winning British arts festival who we are working closely with on a number of projects including workshops with our artists. They are offering an exceptional commission as one of the prizes.
CultureLabel - We are delighted to have the support of our sister company whose online platform offers unique art and craft gifts.
How to Enter
We want to see your images representing the theme of the Great Outdoors.
To enter, submit up to five single pieces of original artwork on this theme, which will be assessed on their suitability for licensed products. We will be looking for high-quality, original images that sum up exploration, travel, freedom and wild nature, suitable for an adventure-led target market.
A range of media is encouraged including painting, photography, printmaking, illustration and graphic works.
Three winners will receive their own product line (limited edition print, tea-towel, T-shirt) on CultureLabel, featuring their images. They will also be invited to join Bridgeman Studio for licensing and given one year’s free subscription.
Grand Prize - $750 Commission
$750 commission to create the Wilderness Festival map, which 10,000 visitors to the UK based festival will receive on arrival.
A work of art in itself, the map will fold out A3 size and will be accompanied on large signage at the event in August. In addition the winner will receive one year’s free subscription on Bridgeman Studio (worth $150).
This is your chance to get professional representation for your work. Good luck.
