The French-Swiss composer Arthur Honegger talking to Ernest Ansermet on the occasion of the general assembly of the Swiss musician's association (Tonkuenstlerverein) in Morges, Switzerland in 1946. He was awarded the composer's prize for outstanding performances in the field of compositional creations.honegger (1892 - 1955) was known for a work based on various stylistic devices. He was an important representative of the “Group de Six” established in 1920 in Paris, France. His international reputation was based on Honegger's symphonic composition “Pacific 231", which is a metaphore of a “vital” sense of life of the technical age characterising a speed train locomotive. His scenic oratorios are excellent works of modern musical theatre.
