Imaginary landscape with high mountains, a decorated sailing vessel with figures, moored on the lake on the right, one figure is standing, fishing. Two tall pines in the centre, dividing the painting, with rocky mountains to left and right on the left the artist wearing a hat, is seated on the ground, sketching and standing to the left of him is a lady dressed in red with a blue scarf and holding a parasol; behind her to the left, on the ground, some sketch-pads. Long shadows thrown by the pine trees across the grass. A golden glow over the scene. Label on back 'W. Boswell and Son, Experts and Valuers of Fine Art, St Ethelbert House, Norwich'.
