Bullock, Rosalie
Panoramica della collezione
After a post-graduate training in textile design at the Royal College of Art in London, Rosalie Bullock spent thirty years in art education at various levels. Her creative time is now devoted to painting and exploring different aspects of print making. Many of her print images are used in her own books which she designs and makes herself. These are in the category of Artists’ Books. Rosalie uses most media in her painting work, particularly watercolour and she is currently interested in the ancient technique of encaustic painting. Much of her stimulus comes from the natural world as found in gardens and arboreta. Other themes include the human form in movement, as in sporting activities like rugby. She is also interested in images that freeze the moment and is working on the theme of Mediterranean ambience where light, colour and texture delight the eye and entice the viewer into another world to enjoy the pleasure of pure contemplation and renewal.
