Ken Howard (1932 - 2022) studied at Hornsea College of Art, the Royal College of Art and received the British Council Scholarship to study in Florence. Elected to the RA in 1971 and a member of the NEAC, Howard is represented in many private and public collections. Howard’s technique is his signature; his subject matter is wide-ranging – from informal studio interiors to urban and rural landscapes. His pictures prove him to be an invisible observer; often his model is portrayed in repose or turned away, and he frequently views streets from unusual angles. The manipulation of light (filtere ...
