In 1989, she left for London, with a scholarship from the Goverment of Colombia and a British Scholarship where in 1991 she received an MA from the Slade School of Fine Arts. She recieved a Delfina Studios Scholarship between 1991 and 1992.She received a scholarship to paint in Zimbawbe and in New York .She lived in London between 1989 until 2010, in Geneva between 2010 and 2012, in Estoril between 2012 and 2018.she has travelled all over europe, the USA,Russia, Latin America, Africa, the north of Africa, Turkey and Egypt. She lives in Pico Island since 2018.She has been painted constantly since 1986.
Rodriguez’s South American heritage remains a powerful influence on her work. It is reflected in her confident use of bright oil colours. It is also evident in her skill at condensing complex reality into her own symbolic language, and perhaps even in her robust adherence to figurative, narrative painting.
