WPA Public Health Poster used in a campaign to build awareness about the twin scourges of syphilis and gonorrhea. Effort to educate the public about the problems of venereal diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea. It became a major health problem after World War I with many of the returning soldiers who had contracted syphilis returned home. In this poster, a man is pictured with his finger pointed at the reader. The copy reads: Stamp out syphilis and Gonorrhea. Have you had your blood test and examination? Go to your Dept. of Health. Bureau of Social Hygiene, 51 Stuyvesant Place, S.I.
