Celebre duel in broad daylight between Bouteville and Beuvron on the Place Royale (Place des Vosges) in Paris on 21 June 1627 despite the ban - Francois de Montmorency Bouteville (Montmorency-Bouteville) (1600-1627) was decapite and Francois d'Harcourt, Marquis de Beuvron fled to England to escape from his sentence (On 12 May 1627 at the Place Royale in Paris, Montmorency-Bouteville dueled Beuvron without fatality, but Montmorency-Bouteville's second, Franois de Rosmadec, Comte de Chappelles, dueled and killed Beuvron's second, the Marquis de Bussi d'Amboise. While Beuvron took refuge in England, Montmorency-Bouteville and Rosmadec, despite their nobility, were beheaded at the Place de Greve in Paris on 22 June 1627) Engraving from “Le duel a travers les ages” by Letainturier-Fradin 1892
