The Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition, 1914-1917: a folio of thirty-two photographs including two group portraits of the Endurance crew on board ship prior to departure (one annotated in ink), two studies of Shackleton on the Endurance with the dogs, portraits of Tom Crean, Frank Wild, George Marston and others, fifteen press photographs of the Endurance in London docks, five photographs of scenes below deck (by Edward Lloyd Limited, Photographic dept.) and others A group of photographs including press agency photographs of the Endurance in London on the eve of her departure including rare images of scenes below deck, and the ship in white paintwork. She was painted in her more familiar black, to stand out better in the ice, en route south at Buenos Aires.
