Kurt von Schleicher (in uniform) and Reich Chancellor Franz von Papen march through a porcelain shop with an elephant, saying: "Yes, there is no more porcelain to crumble". After unsuccessful negotiations with the National Socialists and the Centre Party, Reich Chancellor von Papen and general von Schleicher had to call off the next cabinet formation. Due to the intrigue of all concerned, the citizens lost more and more confidence in democracy.
