Ritual Hill Series No 6, 1980s (mixed media)

'Ritual Hill Series No 6' by Malcolm Whittaker (b 1937), 1980s. Mixed media collage on hand made paper within perspex box frame, with an upper 2D photograph of a green hillside with grey sea and skyline beyond; and a white border below with two short vertical wooden sticks with a central brown pebble with a brown and white striped feather on top of its flat surface with a line or dark string extended from the centre of the stone and feather over each side of the hillside above. Below is an inset rectangular box in which a larger stick of polished wood with burnt central groove and bound with red string on each side with a thicker band around the right end.
