Fillettes du Foyer de Saint Mande deportees a Auschwitz par le convoi 77; The number of deportees on this transport was 1,300 and it consisted of more than 300 children and young people under 18. Upon reaching Auschwitz, 800 of them were gassed, including all the children. According to the account of a young girl who escaped arrest, the director of the home, who was blind, and the supervisor, Mlle Cahen, were also taken. The girl who escaped was Annette Tobjasz in the black apron, six years old at the time
