A half-length portrait of a young man, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, wearing a dark grey suit of armour, white cravat and pink cloak, chain and order of the Annunciation (a House of Savoy Order), a red baton decorated with white crosses (indicating the House of Savoy) held in his right hand.
