Triptych of the Adoration of the Christ Child by Mary, Joseph and the Shepherds; in the central panel the Christ Child is surrounded by angels; the small figures kneeling are portraits of the donor family of Paumgartner with their coats of arms; on the left, behind Joseph, is Martin Paumgartner with his two sons, Lukas and Stephan and the elderly bearded figure is Hans Schönbach, second husband of Barbara Paumgartner (née Volkamer); on the right is Barbara Paumgartner with her daughters, Maria and Barbara; in the left panel is Saint George portrayed as Stephan and on the right Saint Eustace portrayed as Lukas ; St. Eustace carries a banner commemorating his vision of Christ between the antlers of a stag; painting commissioned by Stephan and Lukas for the Church of Saint Catherine in Nuremberg, perhaps after the safe return of Stephan from a pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 1498; acquired in 1613 by Duke Maximilian I of Bavaria from St. Catherine's Church;
