In the middle of the picture, under the vault depicting Archangel Michael fighting against the Devil, is the canvas of the Deposition of Christ; the Messiah, naked but a veil around his hips, lied in Mary's arms who looks at him deeply; on his ribs is visible the wound he has been inflicted by the spear; a lot of male and female characters, richly dressed, and flying puttoes, bringing the symbols of the Passion, take part to the scene; the Deposition is placed side by side with two more canvas, which depict the Announcing Angel on the left, and the Virgin on the right; in the overhead arch can be distinguished two frescoed figures - David on the left and the Erythraean Sybil on the right Agnolo di Cosimo di Mariano detto il Bronzino Museum of Palazzo Vecchio
