Maria Basea is a freelance illustrator with a big passion for plants, flowers and landscapes which can be seen in all of her artworks.
She graduated from National University of Arts, Bucharest, Romania and has a BA and MA degree in Graphic Arts. She has been a member of Romanian Illustrators Club since 2017 and has participated in numerous exhibitions.
Maria’s work consists mostly of delicate and full of emotions botanical illustrations which are traditionally made with watercolour and pencil on paper. She is fascinated with nature and the relationships between plants and spaces that are present both outdoors and indoors.
During the years, Maria has collaborated with several brands like Save the Children, Romania; Anglitira Publishing House; Parkerview Brews, Canada; Banks and Solander, Australia etc.
