Lyubov Sergeevna Popova was a Russian avant-garde artist born in 1889. She studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture and later at the Kazan Art School. Popova was a member of the Cubo-Futurist movement and later joined the Suprematist movement. She was known for her abstract paintings, which were characterized by geometric shapes and bold colors. Popova also worked in other mediums, including set design and textile design. She was a member of the Constructivist movement and believed that art should serve a social purpose.
