Harriott Manningham, Mrs Charles Yorke (d.1854) by Henri-Pierre Danloux (Paris 1753 - Paris 1809), inscribed on old label on back: painted by Danloux circa AD 1793 aetat. 30. Half-length portrait of a young woman, with a white head-dress, powdered hair, white dress, black and blue sash. The sitter was the daughter of Charles Manningham, and in 1790 married Charles Philip Yorke, but had no issue. Painted while Danloux was a refugee in England from the French Revolution.
