SILENT CINEMA Poster for the film “The Black Pirate” by Albert Parker (11 May 1885 - 10 August 1974) with Douglas Fairbanks (Julius Ullmann, 23 May 1883 - Santa Monica, 12 December 1939) and Billie Dove (Bertha Bohny, 14 May 1903 - 31 December 1997), one of the first films made in Technicolor. In the photo montage, the Black Pirate, a young man who escaped with his father a pirate attack that destroyed their ship and became a pirate himself, stole the princess whom he fell in love with fun of the crew, on the pretext of preserving it in view of the ransom demand. However, one of the sailors has sensed his true intentions, and the Black Pirate is forced to defend himself from the mutineers, regains possession of the ship, and finally can reveal to his beauty that he is actually the son of a duke.
