This footage collection is the world’s biggest independent producer of art films and its archive is extensive and unique. Their films have been seen on broadcasters worldwide including the BBC, ITV, C4, Five, Sky, PBS, National Geographic, A&E, Discovery, ARTE, NHK and ABC.

 

 

Seventh Art Productions is a UK-based production company, founded by BAFTA award-winning British film-maker Phil Grabsky, in 1984. Additionally, Seventh Art Productions is the biggest independent producer of art films, holding this title for over 20 years. 

 

In 2011, they brought major art exhibitions into theaters, allowing a wider audience to experience several exciting collections first hand. This was the first time an exhibition from a gallery or museum was shown on a cinematic screen. The positive response from this footage prompted their ‘Exhibition On Screen’ series, bringing a number of exhibitions on to the big screen.  Since 2011, Seventh Art have presented their footage and content in over 1500 cinemas in over 60 countries.
