Laszlo Moholy-Nagy was a Hungarian artist and educator who was born in 1895. He was a pioneer of modernist art and design, and his work spanned a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, and film. Moholy-Nagy was a key figure in the Bauhaus movement, and he taught at the school from 1923 to 1928. He later founded his own school, the New Bauhaus, in Chicago in 1937. Moholy-Nagy's work was characterized by a fascination with light and movement, and he was particularly interested in exploring the potential of new technologies such as photography and film.
