Peter Jackson (1922-2003) was a British artist known for his abstract expressionist paintings. Born in Yorkshire, England, Jackson studied at the Leeds College of Art before serving in the Royal Air Force during World War II. After the war, he continued his studies at the Royal College of Art in London. Jackson's early works were influenced by the abstract expressionist movement in America, and he became known for his large-scale, gestural paintings that explored the relationship between color, form, and texture.
