Richard Hook (1938-2010) was a British artist known for his historical and military paintings. He was born in London and studied at the Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts. Hook began his career as a freelance illustrator, working for publishers such as Osprey Publishing and Purnell & Sons. He later became a full-time artist, specializing in military and historical subjects. His paintings were highly detailed and accurate, and he often used models and reenactors to ensure historical authenticity. Hook's work was featured in numerous exhibitions and galleries, and he was a member of the Royal Richard Hook (1938-2010) was a British artist known for his historical and military paintings.
