Monika Veriopoulos was born in Athens and moved to London to study fine art at City and Guilds of London Art School. She lives and works in Hastings, East Sussex. Veriopoulos' work is influenced by her upbringing in Greece and the presence of shadows caused from the intense sunlight as it moves across both the built and natural environment. Shadows and patters are an ongoing investigation in Veriopoulos' work across a range of media.
