Two Unknown Children and a Dog

British (English) School. Oil painting on canvas, Two Unknown Children and a Dog by British (English) School, late 17th century. Two full-length portraits of children, one child standing in the centre and the other sits on the right. The child in the centre has short curly blond hair and is wearing a white chemise revealing his naked right leg, over which looped, from a jewelled chain worn on his right shoulder, red cloak which hangs in folds on the left, he has a small bird on his left hand. The seated child with short curled blonde hair on the right, is also wearing a chemise with a green cloak draped from the waist which falls over her legs in the front, she is leaning on a rock covered with her gold cloak, a small spaniel is getting up on his hind legs in the right corner.
