Sir John Morley was the eldest of the three sons of the John Morley of Saxham, Suffolk, he married Cicely Carvell or Caryll, daughter of Sir Edward Carvell or Caryll, Kt., of Harting. Portrait of a young man, half length, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator. He has natural brown hair worn shoulder-length and is wearing a brown satin coat over a white shirt, with broad wide linen collar. A dark brown cloak draped over his right shoulder.
