A three-quarter-length portrait of a man turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, standing, holding a staff of office in his left hand. His black, brimmed hat has a tall crown. He has a moustache and spade beard wears a ruff. His black doublet shows a white cuff and his black cloak has a brown fur collar.
