Born in Tasmania and now located in Western Australia, Margaret has lived in many locations including Malaysia and the United States. She started painting fulltime whilst living in the San Fransico area and was able to study and work with the great watermedia artists located there.
Many of Margaret’s works are in private and corporate collections throughout the USA, UK, Asia and Australia. She has had twenty solo exhibitions ( including three in the USA) as well as Australia.

Known for her use of vivid colour, and contemporary feel for the Australian landscape, She says “I am inspired by the mysterious and timeless qualities that are in the landscape around us.”
She enjoys exploring different techniques and subject matter and her new series “Portals” are gateways into another world of exploration. Colour, texture and multi imagery are used to produce works that are evocative of place and time . Themes can include history, literature, landscape and even cookery, all subjects close to the artist’s heart.
Margaret operates Art Innovations, which specialises in exhibitions of Margaret’s work, public art projects and runs Creative Edge workshops.These have been conducted for the National Gallery, Corporate and art groups throughout Australia, and are known for their innovative and supportive approach.
She received the Centenary Medal for services to community arts and development and is listed in Who’s Who in West Australia. ...
