Jean Béraud (1849-1935) was a French painter known for his depictions of Parisian life during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Béraud moved to Paris with his family at a young age and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. He became a successful artist, exhibiting regularly at the Salon and receiving numerous awards throughout his career.
