Jonathan Barry is an Irish artist and illustrator who specialises in painting famous scenes from literature, and is known for his paintings from such classics as Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland, Peter Pan, The Lord of the Rings, and many other novels. Sotheby's of New Bond Street has sold nine of his paintings since 2004.<br> <br> His paintings have sold worldwide and have appeared in over 70 international newspapers and magazines, including The Wall Street Journal, and The Times. Five of these titles are already published including Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella. <br> <br> In 2007 he has been contracted by The European Commission to produce a cartoon advertising campaign, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The European Union. These illustrations will appear on all Irish buses and trains nationwide in September 2007. He lives and works in Ireland.<br> ...
