On back of photograph: Examining Living Cell Created by Cleveland Scientist - Cleveland, Ohio… Dr. Amy F. Rowland, assistant to Dr. George W. Crile, noted Cleveland physician, examining under the microscope, the living cells which Dr. Crile has created. This display of Dr. Crile is on display at the convention of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, being held here. Although the greatest secrecy surrounds the work, it it thought the the purpose of this latest attempt to solve the age-old mystery of life is to determine the nature of the growth of cancer cells. 6.0” x 8.0”
