David Arsenault is a fine artist who lived virtually all his life in New York. He recalls first being inspired by art when he came across a reproduction of Edward Hopper’s 1940 painting 'Gas' in a school library book. The Wall Street Journal was quoted as saying that "Some of Mr. Arsenault's paintings could pass for works by Edward Hopper—just at a thousandth of the price." He studied graphic design at Sage College and painting at the University at Albany, both in New York.
