The Interrupters, 2011

A new film from director Steve James and bestselling author Alex Kotlowitz, The Interrupters was an official selection at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. The Temptation of St. Anthony from the Isenheim Altarpiece by Matthias Grunewald was used in this moving film about young people trying to break the circle of violence in their Chicago communities.

Date Night, 2010

In this comedy, a married couple played by Steve Carrell and Tina Fey, attempt a romantic date night only to get much more than they bargain for when they fall victim to a case of mistaken identity. Herbert Bayer's Bauhaus work, Lonely Metropolitan, was used as set decoration.

Letters to Juliet, 2010

An American girl on vacation in Italy finds an unanswered letter to Juliet in the romantic heroine's Verona courtyard and she goes on a quest to find its author. Eight Bridgeman images were licensed for the title sequence of the film. Click here to see the images.

The Blind Side, 2009

A 17th century Flemish landscape by Jan Frans van Bloemen was used as set dressing in the Tuohy's dining room. Sandra Bullock's role as Leigh Anne Tuohy, Michael Oher's adoptive mother, earned her a Best Actress Oscar.
