The collection at the Florence Griswold Museum in Connecticut includes fine art, sculpture, works on paper, toys and dolls, ceramics, furniture, textiles, decorative arts and historic artifacts, and the Lyme Historical Society Archives. Forming a part of these American art and history holdings, the recently acquired Hartford Steam Boiler Collection contains work by artists who lived and worked in Connecticut from the late Colonial period to the early 20th century, notably from the American Impressionists.
