The Barns-Graham Charitable Trust is an organisation that was set up by the artist Wilhemina Barns-Graham to promote her work and administer grants and bursaries to young artists at selected art schools. Barns-Graham (1912-2004) was an abstract artist who worked with the St Ives Group and was a founding member of the breakaway Penwith Society of Arts. Throughout her life Barns-Graham’s work ranged from strict geometric abstraction to a freer, more painterly style, charting the development of Modernist British painting throughout the 20th century.
