Excursion (2018) film utilises Berlin Wall footage

Martin Grof, the slovakian film director produced his first feature-length film, Excursion, which was released in 2018. It has won multiple awards and utilises footage of the Berlin wall sourced from Bridgeman Images' archive.

Title: Excursion

Year: 2018

Running Time: 85 minutes

Video/Format: shot on RED Dragon 6K, Output 4K, Scope 2.35:1

IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9005662/

Trailer: https://vimeo.com/293543712

Details: As part of the film's opening setup, in which a character from the past visits a present-day version of themselves, historic footage was required showing the destruction of the Berlin wall in 1989.

After applying for and being refused a bursury of 100.000 Euro from the ministry of Culture, Grof decided to fund the film himself, believing that if the idea and passion is strong enough, the film can be produced. In January 2018 the script was started, and by September it had been released to several film festivals.
