The tube worm (Serpula contortuplicata) possesses a magnificent, feather-like crown of tentacles with red and white coloration and lives in calcareous tubes on rocky marine coastlines. The flatworm (Notogymnus drepanensis) shows a flattened, segmented body with greenish coloration. Also depicted are the proboscis naid (Nais proboscidea), a freshwater annelid, the bladder worm (Cysticercus cellulosae), a larval stage of the pork tapeworm, and the liver fluke (Distomum hepaticum), a dangerous parasite in grazing animals.
